I work in infrastructure and cybersecurity. I keep a personal lab where I test what I learn before proposing it in production: Linux servers, containers (Docker and Podman with Quadlet), automation with Ansible, monitoring, vulnerability management, and language models running locally on a GPU.
The way I work comes down to three habits: document every decision while I make it, measure before claiming anything, and always keep a way back. That is what makes a setup reproducible by someone else.
